This mini art quilt has nine rainbow colored triangles ("Flying Geese") on a red background quilted with black thread with black yarn couched over the curved path of the triangles. The triangles are sewn through the center allowing the triangle points to rise up.
Pam Geisel has a background as a graphic designer. Her quilts often have a strong graphic quality using machine piecing, machine raw-edge fusible applique, and machine quilting plus embellishments including hand quilting, couched yarn, and hand beading.
